Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: 24 March 2026

Controller: SVX BETA LTD, 3 Hill Street, Edinburgh, EH2 3JP, United Kingdom

1. Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) sets the standards of conduct for all users of the SoapVox Platform (“SoapVox”, “the Platform”).

By using the Platform, you agree to comply with:

• this Policy

• the Terms of Use

• the Privacy Policy

• the Cookies Policy

This Policy operates in accordance with the Online Safety Act 2023, the Data Protection Act 2018, and UK GDPR.

SoapVox is an adult-only (18+) platform.

This Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including participants and spectators accessing live sessions via spectator streaming, and covers participation, preview snapshots, reporting, appeals, moderation signals generated during an active session, and any content displayed on the Platform.

Political-opinion data (including optional stance selections) is voluntary, limited to the duration of the active session, and not retained server-side or across sessions.

Political-opinion data is processed solely on the basis of explicit user consent in accordance with Article 9(2)(a) UK GDPR, as described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility and Access

You must:

• be 18 or older;

• confirm your age and accept all policies before entering;

• not use the Platform where doing so would breach local law.

Access may be suspended if:

• information is false or misleading;

• age controls are bypassed;

• compliance or safety requires restriction.

SoapVox is an adults-only service. Users must appear on camera. Moderators may review short-lived preview snapshots (face image only) to assess potential safety or under-18 concerns. Attempts to bypass age controls may result in restriction, suspension, or removal following review.

Age assurance is human-led and does not involve biometric identification or automated age estimation.

Proportionate, Privacy-Preserving Age Assurance

Users activate their webcam and a short-lived preview snapshot (face image only) is reviewed by moderators. No biometric processing, measurement, feature extraction, or automated age inference is used.

This processing occurs under the Platform’s legitimate interests in maintaining safety and preventing under-18 access.

3. Expected Behaviour

SoapVox is designed for structured political and current-affairs discussion.

Users must:

• discuss ideas respectfully;

• follow on-screen consent and safety notices; and

• keep their face visibly present while participating.

Stance Label Selection

Displaying a stance label is optional. Users may choose “Left”, “Right”, “Neutral/Centrist”, or “Non-Political”.

Selecting “Non-Political” displays the “Non-Political” label during the session. It does not restrict queue placement, suppress country display, or prevent users from entering topic text.

All labels function solely as voluntary contextual indicators during an active session and do not create political profiles or alter backend data-processing logic.

4. Prohibited Conduct

Breaches may result in immediate suspension, permanent removal, or lawful referral.

‍

Illegal or Unsafe Content

Prohibited content includes:

• illegal activity, promotion, or facilitation

• threats, harassment, or incitement to violence

• nudity or sexual content

• exploitation of minors

• promotion of self-harm or extremist violence

Hate Speech and Harassment

You must not:

• abuse or target others based on protected characteristics

• use slurs or degrading epithets

• engage in coordinated harassment

Platform Misuse

You must not:

• circumvent moderation or safety controls

• impersonate others

• spam, brigade, or interfere with consent flows

• attempt to infer or reconstruct stance or country where they are intentionally hidden

• tamper with reports or misuse moderation tools

• record, screenshot, rebroadcast, redistribute, or otherwise capture another participant in a manner that is unlawful, misleading, or inconsistent with the consent notices presented before entering a live session.

Data and Privacy Violations

You must not:

• attempt to identify users from snapshots, session behaviour, or network information

• share personal information of others

• attempt to link topics to an identifiable user or construct user profiles

• enter personal data (about yourself or others) into user-defined topic text, including doxxing or identifying information

5. Safety, Evidence, and Visibility

• Users must complete all consent steps before entering the preview and discussion environment.

• Each session is assigned technical identifiers for safety and audit purposes. A limited session identifier may be visible during participation. Full identifiers and linkage data are restricted to backend security and audit systems and are not visible to moderators.

• Users must keep their face clearly visible. Moderators may review short-lived preview snapshots (face image only) for safety and participation compliance. Reported sessions may be prioritised for review.

Short-lived preview snapshots (face image only) may be shown only to:

• users currently swiping the queue;

• viewers watching active sessions within the Platform;

• users submitting a report about a recent interaction; and

• moderators reviewing sessions for safety and participation compliance.

Snapshots contain no stance, country, or topic overlays and are deleted automatically within 24 hours.

Stance and Country Display

• Stance and country appear only in the live interface for real-time context.

• Political stance is not stored server-side and is not included in reports or moderation tooling.

• Users selecting the “Non-Political” label display that label during the session in the same manner as other labels. Country display and topic entry function normally.

Where derived country is retained, it is held only in restricted backend security and audit logs and is not visible to other users or moderators.

Geographic Region Use

Derived country may be used to determine a general service region for safety and operational management. Region assignment is not used for matching, ranking, profiling, or political inference and is not visible to moderators.

Topic Display and Storage

• Topics are displayed during participation.

• Topic–session associations may be retained for up to 28 days for moderation and safety review and are then deleted or irreversibly separated from identifying data.

• Topics are not linked to stance data.

• Topics may be selected from controller-maintained trending discussion topics or entered by users as topic text.

• Moderators may view topics for review and enforcement but do not see IP addresses, derived country, login identifiers, or other security-log data.

• In limited circumstances, senior administrators may correlate topic records with restricted security logs solely for time-limited abuse investigation or lawful requests, under restricted access and within the defined retention window.

6. Reporting and Appeals

Users or viewers may report unsafe behaviour using the in-platform Report function or at: info.soapvox.live/forms/report

Appeals may be submitted at: info.soapvox.live/forms/appeal

Review Process

Reports and appeals are reviewed by human moderators.

Where there is an immediate safety risk or a clear policy breach, action may be taken without delay.

Appeal Outcomes

Submission of an appeal does not guarantee reinstatement, access restoration, or continued participation during the Open Beta.

Report Content

Reports may include a structured report category and optional user-provided free-text details for moderation context.

Free-text details are used solely for human review, are not analysed or profiled, and are deleted with the associated moderation record.

Retention and Legal Hold

Moderation records are retained for up to 28 days and may be preserved longer only where required to comply with a lawful request or legal obligation, under restricted legal-hold controls.

7. Moderation and Enforcement

SoapVox uses limited automated signals to support human moderation. These signals may route reports for review, enforce technical participation requirements, and apply keyword-rule screening and machine-learning toxicity scoring to user-entered topic text to generate advisory risk indicators for moderators (for example, colour-coded flags).

These indicators do not automatically block, remove, suspend, or penalise users. Automated systems do not make moderation or enforcement decisions. All moderation and enforcement decisions are made by human reviewers.

Moderator View

Moderators may see only:

• the face-only preview snapshot (if still within the 24-hour window);

• the reported topic;

• timestamps;

• the structured report category;

• optional free-form details voluntarily submitted by the reporting user for moderation context; and

• short-term report counters associated with the reported item.

Moderation tools are designed so that moderators cannot access or infer a user’s political stance through topic data, reports, or activity patterns.

Moderators do not have access to political stance, derived country, IP addresses, login or authentication identifiers, pseudonymised internal user identifiers, session identifiers, or cross-system data through moderation tools or stored moderation records.

Administrator Access (Restricted)

A limited number of senior administrators may access:

• pseudonym IDs

• session IDs

• IP addresses

• derived country (where retained in restricted security logs)

This access is permitted only for abuse investigation, security, or lawful disclosure.

Enforcement Actions

Sanctions may include:

• warnings

• temporary suspension

• permanent bans

• region or IP restrictions

• evidence preservation where required by law

System Separation

Moderation tools, session records, and server-level security logs operate in separate systems with distinct access controls. Moderators cannot access IP addresses, login identifiers, or cross-system data through the moderation interface. Access to security logs is limited to a small number of senior administrators for abuse investigation or lawful disclosure, and cross-system correlation requires separate credentials and elevated permissions.

8. Recording, Screenshots & Third-Party Behaviour

SoapVox does not record or archive live sessions on the Platform. Any temporary transmission buffers are purely technical and are not stored or retained.

By entering a visible session, participants acknowledge that sessions can be recorded and shared publicly by other participants or viewers in accordance with the consent notices presented before entering a live session.

9. Data and Privacy Protection

Data is processed according to the Privacy Policy.

Key points:

• stance is real-time only and not stored server-side

• snapshots deleted within 24 hours

• IP/session logs retained up to 28 days in line with the Privacy Policy

• moderators see minimal data

• no profiling, targeting, or behavioural tracking

• users may request deletion at: info.soapvox.live/forms/data-deletion

10. Beta-Phase Conditions

SoapVox is a limited beta. We may restrict access, reset the service, adjust features, or take the platform offline at any time for safety, compliance, or maintenance.

Participation does not guarantee future access or features.

11. Consequences of Breach

SVX BETA LTD may:

• suspend or block access

• delete related session data

• restrict by IP or region

• preserve evidence for lawful requests

• refuse future participation
